President Donald Trump is not alone in his stand against funding the World Health Organization.

While critics of the president repeatedly demonize him for withholding U.S. funds to the organization, recently threatening to make the cuts permanent, it seems other countries are making similar moves.

A petition addressed to the leaders of nations that make up the G20 group, and signed by more than 200,000 Italians, is asking for defunding the specialized agency of the United Nations which has come under heavy criticism for its mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic at its outbreak.

“We humbly ask you to join U.S. President Donald J. Trump to stop sending funds to the World Health Organization,” the petition reportedly reads, according to Breitbart News.

The document to the leaders of the 19 countries and the European Union which make up the G20 group claimed the WHO has shown “that it supports and disseminates the false and incomplete information released by Communist China regarding the seriousness of COVID19.”

The appeal also noted that “the W.H.O. internal decision-making and management processes are not subject to direct control by taxpayers,” listing alleged uses of public funds to pay for a myriad of measures including, according to Breitbart, “promoting abortion worldwide as a human right, supporting the legalization of prostitution, forcing doctors to perform sex reassignment surgery on children, and disseminating a curriculum for global sexuality standards that teaches masturbation to small children.”

“To compensate for the loss of funds from U.S. contributions, W.H.O. and its ideological allies are calling for an increase in voluntary donations from other countries. And the G20 countries are at the top of the list,” the petition read, noting that Italy is the seventh-largest funder of the organization.

“We don’t need a global ‘health’ organization that pumps billions out of our society every year to harm children,” it continued. “And President Trump’s plan to cut funding to the W.H.O. offers us a real opportunity to start seeing the end of their global agenda, that same agenda that does nothing but trample on human dignity and its true value.”

Italy suffered dramatic losses from the escalating pandemic which has, to date, claimed the lives of more than 32,000 people in the country.

Trump warned the WHO that it has 30 days to make “major substantive improvements” in a four-page letter to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday. He accused the WHO chief of bowing to pressure from China and for failing to respond more quickly to the growing coronavirus outbreak back in January, and thereby reducing the devastating effects of the pandemic.

“It is clear the repeated missteps by you and your organization in responding to the pandemic have been extremely costly for the world,” the president wrote.

Despite the liberal media’s portrayal of Trump as the aggressor in attacks against the WHO, government officials and health experts alike have been critical of its performance in the wake of the health emergency and for clearly carrying water for the Chinese government.

Taiwan, which has been denied membership in the agency reportedly due to China’s intervention, claimed last month that the WHO ignored its warnings early on about the virus.

A senior U.S. intelligence official confirmed last week that China pressured the World Health Organization against declaring the virus outbreak a global health emergency.
